My Approach to the Counselling Space 

I am passionate about helping people in all areas of their mental health. I am trained in Emotion-focused therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy for eating disorders, Level 1 & 2 EMDR, grief and loss, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-compassion, and mindfulness.
I have experience working with diverse mental health needs including complex trauma, religious identity, relationships, and emotional regulation. As a therapist with a diploma in holistic nutrition I am also passionate about working with clients who want to understand and improve on their food relationship, body image, and/or self-esteem.
I take a holistic approach to your mental health goals, exploring past experiences, current functioning and future goals to link patterns and provide insights into personal areas for growth and change. I am a client-led therapist meaning I view my clients as the expert of their own experiences and perspective and endeavour to offer a space welcoming of your voice and choice. Recognizing that reaching out for help and being vulnerable with another person can be scary, I consistently strive to create a space of comfort and warmth. I am confident we can work together to reach your mental health goals and I am honoured to share space with anyone hoping to improve on their well-being.

I offer in person and virtual counselling. My services are covered by most extended health benefit plans.
